iteration 3

The photos illustrate the next iteration before making the final object. I decided to use scrap leather for this part of the step. I used an old leather jacket that I found in my closet and cut out some pieces of leather as well as the zipper. As I planned, I changed the size by increasing some components of the wallet. However I realized that I had increased the actual size of the wallet a little too much. This step also allowed me to focus on my sewing/stitching and to carefully choose a different color of string than the leather so I can clearly see the sewing. This step helped me understand where and how to sew the wallet so it appeals aesthetically pleasing. I also focused on sewing the zipper, which helped me understand what the best way to position the zipper. My next step will be to make the final object and decrease the size of the wallet.
