The images above show my different iterations I went through
making this wallet/wristlet. I believed that it would be a good idea to make a mockup
wallet on paper so that I can test the appropriate size and shape. I played
around with a couple of designs and I was finally able to choose a final design
and also test all of the measurement. This iteration also allowed me to become
creative by building different compartments to hold a card and an iphone.
Having this step allowed me to easily understand the basic shape for my wrist
wallet by simply cutting paper and arranging them together. My plan for the
next iteration is to make a mock up of this paper model with some scrap cloth
and test out the wrist wallet.
Iteration 2
The image above illustrates the next step I took to make the
wrist wallet. My goal for this step was to test the wallet by physically sewing
together pieces of fabric. In this step I decided save some money and use scrap
cloth that I found in my closet. My overall goal was to just focus on size of
the wrist wallet and not the aesthetics so I did not careful attention to my
sewing. After I completed this step I was able to test out the product by putting
my iphone and my credit cards into the wallet. However, my measurements were
incorrect so I had a hard time inserting my cards. My next step will then be to
increase the size of the wallet and also make a final iteration before my final
product.
